Blog Post Assignment 11 - Coherent Blogs (2)

Season six was the final season of sex in the city, which aired in 2003. The first three episodes are: To Market, to market, Great Sexpectations, and The Perfect Present.

At this point Carrie is dating a man named Berger who from the beginning has a very stand off personality towards Carrie. You could argue this is the starting point of all their future problems. Unfortunately during these three episodes Carrie happens to run into her ex- fiancĂ©e Aidan, who is carrying a baby. Carrie had dated Aidan twice before, but after getting cold feet about taking the plunge with him; their engagement was called off, for good. She then later hears how Berger over reacts when his ex leaves a voicemail on his phone when Carrie is over and wonders if she is ready to handle this type of relationship.

Many months after Miranda’s break up with Steve and a baby with him later, she finally comes to her senses and realizes that she truly does love him. It was a little too late for Miranda because Steve now has a girlfriend. Charlotte has now found the man of her dreams; the only problem is she never pictured herself with a man like him. When they realize they want to be married Charlotte decides to convert to Judaism in order to make their marriage possible.

Blog Post Assignment 10 - Coherent Blogs (1)

As described in my about page, I chose to write my coherent blogs on the television series Sex in the City. My basic relationship with this series is that my roommate had loved the series, that she watched quite some time ago. Trusting her word and looking for a new T.V series to indulge in (maybe even become obsessed with) I began watching Sex in the City. I did enjoy them quite a bit and always looked forward to watching the next episode or season.

Since I decided to make my blogs about the final series and all the drama that happens within it, I will begin with a quick summary of seasons 1-5. I will also introduce the four main characters, the first character being Carrie. Carrie is a columnist in New York (where the story is located) where she writes a sex column in a newspaper. Carries love life is a roller coaster, much like all the other women in the show. Even through the roller coaster she always ends up running back Mr. Big. The second woman Miranda, is a successful lawyer, who has a hard time realizing that she belongs with the nerdy bartender Steve who she never thought was her “type.” Thirdly is Charlotte, an art gallery manager with conservative morals who in the final season does not end up with the prestigious type of man she always thought she would be with. Finally Samantha, I guess you could say she is the "fun" one. She is a PR agent who proves she never has any commitment to one particular man, often referred to as a man-eater.
