Blog Post Assignment 14 - Coherent Blogs (5)

The last two episodes of the series are: An American Girl in Paris – Part Une and Part Deux.

Before Carrie heads off to Paris with her lover she has one last dinner with her girls. They all find themselves having a hard time saying goodbye, life wouldn’t be the same without Carrie in the City. Carries expectations of her time in Paris are let down by the fact that Alexander is always working and she is very lonely wondering around alone. Carrie decides this life isn’t for her and either is Alex, it is time to go back to her true love, New York. This is when Mr. Big finds her in the hotel, as she is about to check out. Big announces the words she has been waiting six years (and six seasons) to hear, she is the one for him. They decide to go back to New York and be together.

Samantha’s relationship with Smiths grows because she realizes throughout Cancer he has been there for her.  Miranda chooses to take care of Steve’s mother after she has a stroke even though the two have never seen eye to eye.  After Charlotte and her husband Harry realize they may not be able to have a child on their own, they decide to adopt. They get a baby girl from China and couldn’t be happier with the experience they are given.

These two episodes were by far my favorite. My reasoning is, for all 6 seasons I was waiting for Big and Carrie to finally be together permanently. Also, when Charlotte gets her life long dream, a baby, it is a very happy moment. Samantha beats cancer and Miranda ends up in a happy family with her baby and husband. I loved the entire plot of this story and where it ended. Now, I must go because there are also two movies based on this series that I’m anxious to watch!

Blog Post Assignment 13 - Coherent Blogs (4)

I will wrap up this season and series in the next two blog posts. Therefore this blog will be about the next 8 episodes, which begins with “The Domino Effect” and will end with “Splat!”

When Carries Ex-lover, Mr. Big is in need of heart surgery Carrie surprises herself when she has a very hard time handling the news.  After Big cuts Carrie short of the possibility of another relationship together she meets artist Alexander at a gallery. After Alexander’s and Carries relationship progresses significantly they announce they will both be moving to France for Alexander’s new art exhibit.

Miranda continues to date the new guy in her building Robert, although she has a hard time finding the right moment to introduce him to her babies daddy, Steve. She also comes to a realization she cannot say, “ I love you” back to Robert. At her sons first birthday party she finds herself alone with Steve when they confess their love together. Robert does not handle this well and begins sabotaging their relationship. Later, they finally tie the not in Miranda’s idea of the perfect wedding, non-traditional.

Charlotte realizes acupuncture may be her only hope to get pregnant; she has tried almost everything else up to this point. To her excitement she later finds out she is pregnant, this ends up being hard news when she soon after miscarries. Charlotte receives a dog from a lady she met in the park; the dog helps Charlotte move on from the disappointment.

Samantha has decided she is in love with her forty-something body, except one thing. She would like to have a breast enlargement. This procedure leads to some devastating news; Samantha finds a lump, which turns out to be breast cancer. She must deal with the traumatic experiences involved with cancer, including her hair falling out.

Blog Post Assignment 12 - Coherent Blogs (3)

I will now discuss the next seven episodes of the season starting with Pick-a-little, Talk-a-little and ending with Boy, Interrupted. Carrie was fortunate enough to have a select few of her columns published into a book, which sells very well. She receives a big check from these sales; this disappoints her author boyfriend Berger as his book was dropped. Berger informs Carrie their relationship is over in the form of a Post-it-note. In my opinion this is about as low as a text break-up in 2013, and a clear indication they weren’t made for each other.

Charlotte and her man Harry end in a big argument all because she thought he would have instantly asked her to marry him after she converted to Judaism for him. After a few weeks apart they run into each other at a singles event at the church, this is where they realize they are meant to be and Harry Proposes. Although Harry wasn’t the exact

image Charlotte painted as the perfect man for her, I think Harry was the best thing that could of happened to her.

Miranda’s successes as a lawyer are cutting into her time with her son Brady and she is forced to prioritize what is really important to her. When Miranda decides to put her love for Steve to rest she falls for a new man in her apartment building. He helps both her and son Brady fight the chicken pox, since he is a doctor.

Samantha has now found a man in her life named Smith; although the two act like they are dating she could never admit it.
